With its plush interior, high equipment levels and long range, the BYD Seal is well worth considering if you're in the market for an electric executive car. BYD is a Chinese automaker that is relatively unheard of in the UK compared with Tesla, but it's worth noting that it produced 1.84 million cars in 2023, surpassing Tesla in total production. Most of BYD's cars come in a lower price range than Tesla's and offer hybrid versions in addition to battery-powered cars. Despite being surpassed in total production, Tesla remains on top for battery-only production.
